Syrotuck Covers scent theory extensively. - "Tracking Dog, theory and methods" A good source if you intend to train a dog in tracking as opposed to airscenting or trailing. - Don't forget "Ready: The training of Search and Rescue Dogs" by Susan Bulanda. It has some off mainstream ideas but should be read. The best place to find these materials is the National Assoc. of Search and Rescue (NASAR) library. Write or call them for a catalog.
