*** Generating Hot Oxygen *** From: Russ Hore [russellh@cix.compulink.co.uk] Sent: Monday, November 09, 1998 8:49 AM To: sar-l@listserv.islandnet.com Cc: russellh@cix.compulink.co.uk Subject: Re: Generating Hot Oxygen We use a 'simple' arrangement of a pot of water siting on top of a stove. The pot has a lid with two holes in it. One is left open, the other is fed to a mask which has a thermometer in it (So we do not cook the casualty!) We normally carry a flask of hot water if we take this kit out to make the heat up time shorter. We used to use a 'Little Dragon' which used soda lime (I think) but there was a scare about possible inhalation of soda lime.
