*** Ketchican, Alaska Search *** Mon Nov 6 10:56:22 1995 Letter : 7244550 From: Bruce Bowler Address : bruce_bowler@jhqmac.dot.state.ak.us Subject : Klawock Search I just got this from our Coast Guard Rescue Coordination Center. They just got on line last week and are discovering all kinds of things. I gave them your address as a good place to statrt. Here's something they gave me in return. Their XO is a member of our CISD team--good guy named Cmdr Rick Currier. We've been working a search for almost a month now for a missing indian man named "Moose" Jackson from the village of Klawock (west of Ketchikan on Prince of Wales Island). It's one of those "UFO's got him" searches so far, but he's part of a very influential native family, and they won't let go. The search was poorly handled by the locals, and the Troopers and Coast Guard reduced the search after the first week, but the family's keeping the pressure on--they asked us to go back down there on "contract" (we declined). 5 of their searchers have already gotten lost. It's moving toward the criminal arena now--I'll send you something if it developes into something worth passing on.
