  I am a news researcher for the Independent Florida Alligator, a
newspaper serving the University of Florida community.

  Last Sunday, a student from UF was hiking along the Nooksack River
in Mount Baker National Forest.  While crossing the river, he slipped
and fell into the river.  He went over a 200-foot waterfall and his
body has not been found yet.  He was hiking in an area that is about
fifteen minutes away from Glacier.

   If there is anyone who has information about the accident or is
familiar with the hiking area and would like to communicate with me
