They know what they are doing and have helped establish some of the most recognized standards that the dive rescue profession uses. The reference to Rescue 3 is also a good one. The PADI Rescue Diver cert is not sufficent for Professional (volunteer) Rescue Staff. Personally, I believe that the certification should read "Self Rescue", I've BTDT. Until you've been exposed to the R3, IADRS classes you may be a statistic waiting to happen.Get the education.
