Calendar Contains details of team and organization SAR training events and conferences. This library includes information on current training schedules, guest speakers, courses, exercises, workshops and conferences.

Canine  Contains articles relating to the training and application of canine SAR resources.

Communications  Selected files on the equipment and protocols of SAR communications.

Computers  A library of SAR-related executable, database and software files, as well as articles discussing the use of computers in SAR
.

Equipment  This library contains articles on the wide range of equipment used in SAR operations. This includes ropes, altimeters, rescue gear, stretchers, vehicles, whistles, avalanche beacons etcetera.

Literature  Contains general articles relating to SAR. This library includes technical articles, general purpose information, operational procedures, new techniques and equipment, references to magazines and journals, etc.

Members  A library of first-responder Callout/Contact Procedures. These files contain the teams' callout procedure, callout and executive members phone and pager numbers, fax #'s, postal address and email address, ( if any). A brief description of the team may also be included.
Access is restricted to teams who submit their callout/contact procedures to SARINFO

Navigation A library of files relating to the navigation techniques used in Search & Rescue. Includes the use of GPS and mapping system software.

Planning An extensive reference library of articles relating to all aspects of SAR planning - theory and practise. Essential reading for SAR Managers!

Resource  An extensive library of team, organization and agency resources. This library lists groups with specific skills, physical equipment, know-how, as well as many specialised governmental and non-governmental resources.

Rescues  A library of true accounts of real SAR operations. This library includes mission reports and accounts of general, interesting and unusual searches and rescues. Any special tips or procedures that seemed to work well during the search or rescue are included. This library is a useful database of SAR information for strategic planning.

Skills A wide-ranging library covering a broad spectrum of practical SAR skills; first-aid, tracking, sounds sweeps, winter survival, flat-ice rescue, ropework, and host of related topics.

Technology This library covers many topics on the use of technology in SAR. Advanced equipment, FLIR, electronic detection devices, ground-penetrating radar etc.

 

Minutes This library keeps a listing of Minutes recorded at the meetings of SAR Organizations.
